Following Ceragon's acquisition of Siklu, the combined portfolio covers a broad range of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless applications. Videcom selects the appropriate platform according to distance, capacity, spectrum, line of sight, resilience and the operational importance of the link.
60 GHz Wireless
60 GHz V-band is well suited to high-capacity, shorter-range connections where clear line of sight is available. Its narrow beams and large available spectrum make it useful for dense urban, campus and street-level applications.
Videcom can use 60 GHz links for CCTV connectivity, local backhaul and building-to-building services where fibre would otherwise require disruptive civils.
60 GHz Point-to-Multipoint
Point-to-multipoint platforms can connect multiple remote locations back to a common access point, making them useful where several CCTV or network nodes need to be served from one site.
Automatic alignment and centralised management available on modern platforms can simplify deployment and ongoing support, while the network design still needs to consider coverage, capacity and resilience.
70/80 GHz E-band Wireless
E-band is used for high-capacity point-to-point backhaul over clear line-of-sight paths. It is particularly useful for linking control rooms, civic buildings, commercial sites and major CCTV network nodes where high throughput and predictable performance are required.
Videcom designs these links around the required availability, distance and capacity, including resilient or diverse network paths where the application is operationally critical.
