Understanding the DSS Platform
Dahua provides several software options for managing video and wider security systems. Videcom focuses on DSS Express, DSS Professional, DSS Ultimate and SmartPSS, allowing the management layer to be matched to the size, resilience and integration requirements of the project.
DSS Express provides an accessible route into the DSS environment for smaller systems. DSS Professional is the main scalable unified platform for professional, enterprise and multi-site deployments. DSS Ultimate sits at the top of the DSS family for very large and mission-critical projects. SmartPSS is a separate Dahua client application and is useful for straightforward local management where a full DSS platform is not required.
Videcom designs the overall solution rather than treating the software as an isolated product. Cameras, recording, storage, access control, ANPR, networking, operator workstations and supported integrations can be brought together around the appropriate Dahua management platform.
