Current 60 GHz platforms can deliver very high throughput over relatively short, clear line-of-sight paths. Their narrow beams and large available spectrum make them useful for dense urban areas, campuses, car parks, public-space CCTV and building-to-building connectivity.

Videcom works with current Ceragon and Siklu technology, together with other suitable platforms where appropriate. Following Ceragon's acquisition of Siklu, these technologies now form part of a broader millimetre-wave portfolio covering both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications.

In the UK, authorisation around 60 GHz depends on the exact band and equipment type. Ofcom currently provides licence-exempt operation for fixed wireless systems in parts of the 57.1 to 70.875 GHz range under the relevant technical conditions, while other uses may fall under different authorisation arrangements.
