DSS Express for Smaller Security Systems
DSS Express is Dahua's software platform for smaller and medium-sized deployments. Dahua currently provides a free starting capacity of 64 video channels, with licensing available to expand the system to 256 video channels.
Express sits below DSS Professional in the DSS family but retains the unified-management approach. Depending on the selected licences and connected equipment, it can bring video together with functions such as access control, video intercom, ANPR and supported AI capabilities. Dahua also provides a route for upgrading an Express deployment to DSS Professional as requirements grow.
Videcom would typically consider DSS Express where a customer needs more structured central management than a basic viewing application, but does not require the scale or distributed architecture of DSS Professional or Ultimate.
