BRIBERY ACT 2010

Videcom Security Limited ensures compliance with the Bribery Act 2010. Responsibility for the updating and dissemination of the policy rests with Mr Ron Johnson CEO

The company considers the risk of bribery to be very low, because of:

  • Videcom Security Limited trades exclusively in the United Kingdom with long-established trade customers and directly with our clients.
  • Directors are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business.
  • The relatively small number of employees are individually known to the Directors having worked for Videcom Security Limited for considerable periods.
  • It is not company policy to employ agents or other outside organisations in sales and purchasing activities.
  • Corporate hospitality and business expenditure is considered to be reasonable and proportionate in order to demonstrate products and services to our clients and maintain our trading position.

The six principles of our policy regarding prevention of bribery are:

  1. Proportionate procedures.
  2. Senior management commitment.
  3. Risk assessment in relation to our trading activities.
  4. Due diligence proportionate to the level of risk.
  5. Communication and appropriate training for company personnel.
  6. Periodic monitoring and review to ensure policy effectiveness.

Existing controls over company expenditure, accounting, tendering, and account management are the direct responsibility of the Directors who are conversant with their responsibilities under the Act.

Documented procedures for supplier approval & monitoring, supply chain management and order processing are applied company-wide and subject to external audit to ensure compliance.

This policy is subject to regular review to reflect changes in legislation and to ensure continued effectiveness. All staff have been advised of this policy and its implications to Videcom Security Limited and are required to always adhere to this policy. Failure to comply with this policy by an employee is considered to be gross misconduct and liable to disciplinary procedures.
