VNR a brief history:
Videcom VNR has been a culmination of research and product development over the past six years, originally though another OEM integration before the adoption and current OEM agreement with Luxriot in 2014.
VNR was originally developed to bring a layered integration between traditional analogue control rooms and new ONVIF HD IP Cameras. Many of our customers operating large scale Town and City Centre CCTV systems were finding it increasingly difficult to manage a migration to the next generation CCTV due to budget and technology difficulties.
The VNR platform and development by the Videcom Software team has enabled this integration, with the VNR performing low cost energy efficient virtual matrix switching of both the IP video streams and legacy analogue equipment. The VNR ONVIF telemetry support together with manufacture SDK support from the likes of Redvision has enabled Videcom to provide a responsive integration tailored to customer needs.
VNR integration has been designed as a term stop gap to give public space CCTV controls room's technical migration options without the initial outlay of a new control system. Allowing the introduction of high quality ONVIF compliant CCTV cameras within a traditional analogue CCTV system. The VNR Videcom network Recorder also provides low cost energy efficient recording of almost all current CCTV cameras both analogue and IP.
VNR ANPR and other bolt-ons such as Facial Recognition and Video Analytics have helped build the VNR family into a flexible security management solution that can be tailor-made to suit almost any requirement.
But it's not all about looking after legacy CCTV installations, we have seen sales of VNR based recorders into new systems, with CCTV Installation costs being saved with reduced recorder requirements and also the integration with the LG Fixed Dome Cameras that offer remote PTZ adjustment post installation allowing greater flexibility within the installation and ability to change and adjust camera views after installation without site disruption. The LG cameras are fully integrated with the VNR software.
VNR recording software is used in all our SceneVu Mobile 3G & 4G Rapid deployment transportable CCTV cameras.
